How can AFEX help me with my recent Yacht purchase?

How do I open an account with AFEX?

Will I be charged any fees?
There are no charges to set up an account with AFEX or to use our online payment system. As Grant Torrens International Marine's preferred FX Specialist, AFEX is waiving all transaction fees on all your orders.

How do I transfer funds to AFEX?
Once you instruct AFEX to exchange your currency, you will receive a confirmation with details of the order and our bank details. You can either arrange a bank transfer to AFEX or arrange a Direct Debit facility for your funds to be transferred automatically after each trade.

Can I track the staus of my payments?
Yes. AFEX can track your funds globally once we have initiated the sending of funds to your beneficiary, and we can provide you with official SWIFT confirmations on request.

Is money I send to AFEX secure?
Yes. AFEX is licensed and regulated in all of the jurisdictions in which it operates. In Australia, we are licensed and regulated by ASIC and AUSTRAC, operating under Australian Financial Services License Number 305246 (Please check the ASIC website http://www.search.asic.gov.au/fsr/flb.html and enter Number 305246 in the License Number field). This is the same financial services license that bank holds. As part of this license we are regularly audited to make sure we are fiscally secure. ASIC constantly reviews and checks our license and operating procedures. AFEXDirect also gives you full transparency and control with detailed trading history, live currency rates and beneficiary account templates.

How can AFEX ensure quick delivery of funds to my beneficiary?
AFEX is a member of the global SWIFT network. This means that, unlike many brokers who rely on banks to transfer the funds on their behalf, AFEX delivers these funds directly through SWIFT. This also means we can monitor and track your funds and provide you with instant official payment confirmations.

What currencies can AFEX deal in?
AFEX is able to deal in all major and exotic currencies traded globally, except those embargoed internationally.

Can I make payments and echange currency online?
